In this series, Windows of the World, I delve into my bicultural identity and the journeys that have defined my life. This series is a reflection of my travels between Mexico and the United States, as well as my adventures around the globe. Each painting is a window into the landscapes and experiences that have shaped who I am.
Waco, TX is inspired by my undergraduate days visiting Baylor, where I often took road trips between Austin and Fort Worth, and now I frequently return to Waco to visit Washington Gallery to drop off paintings and attend art openings. ,Every time I make this journey and look up at the sky I relive those memories with a renewed sense of purpose and connection.
